Niro Dance Creations and Global Tamil Cultural Organization organized a Rare and Meaningful event i n GTA on 12 November 2023 with a special message -RISE and RESIST -RARE 2023.
The event not only celebrated Canadian Multiculturalism but also a strong resistance and fight back against racism and discrimination, through arts expression. The artists urged to spread a message to stop RACISM and rise above and resist against all odds.
The event acknowledged and appreciated First Nations, Inuit, and Métis efforts along with the people of colour through a smudging ceremony.
More than 50 artists performed together from a common stage. The Art Exhibition depicting stories of minorities at the front door was a highlight of the day. The event was very well received by dignitaries ,local leaders and community supporters. The event was supported by the Government of Canada.
